About us

Three people preparing food together in a kitchen, with one holding a lime, another using a spoon, and the third assisting, all focused on their task.

We are Segundo and Caterina, the founders and faces of Radical. From Argentina and Switzerland, we met in Belgium, thanks to our shared passion for gastronomy. After gaining experience in restaurants and kitchens in different parts of Europe and South America, we decided to combine our passion with a commitment to sustainability.

Radical is the result of this union, and is characterized by a deep respect for the earth, genuine ingredients, and culinary creativity. We believe that the restaurant industry and sustainable agriculture are interdependent and, above all, fundamental to creating a more fair, healthy, and sustainable food system.

Segundo Achinelli

Segundo Achinelli, was born and raised in Buenos Aires, where he cultivated a great vocation for hospitality. The most formative experience for him is his years working in Garzòn, Uruguay. There he began to prefer a type of gastronomy in close contact with nature, where earth and fire are essential elements of the kitchen.

His favourite ingredient in the kitchen is a good extra virgin olive oil.

Caterina Ravano

Caterina Ravano, from Lugano with Italian roots, moved to Antwerp in 2015, where for six years she ran the restaurant Wild project: a restaurant focused on plant-based cuisine and close collaboration with small-scale farmers, with the aim of raising customers' awareness of local products and genuine flavours. 

Her favourite ingredient in the kitchen is lemon.
